Procurement Executive – Electronic components (022603)

Responsibilities
 

  • Handle complete procurement operations for the company, with a focus on electronic components, PCBs, connectors, sensors, cables, and modules.

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and manufacturers (local and international).

  • Request and compare quotations, and negotiate prices, delivery terms, and payment terms to ensure cost-effective procurement.

  • Raise purchase orders (POs), track order status, follow up with vendors, and ensure timely deliveries.

  • Maintain and update procurement records, reports, and vendor performance.

  • Liaise with the design, R&D, and production teams to understand component requirements and specifications.

  • Maintain optimum inventory levels and coordinate with stores/warehouse for timely replenishments.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors to ensure long-term supply reliability.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and industry regulations.

  • Evaluate alternate suppliers and components to reduce costs and improve sourcing efficiency.

  • Monitor market trends, pricing, and availability of components and provide insights for forecasting and budgeting. 
     

Qualifications
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, or Supply Chain Management or equivalent.

  • 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in procurement. Prior experience in an electronics manufacturing, automation, or product development company is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of electronic parts, datasheets, component sourcing, and industry suppliers/distributors (e.g., Mouser, Digi-Key, RS, Robu, etc.).

  • Proficient in Microsoft office.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills and attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with customs clearance and import procurement processes (for global sourcing).

  • Knowledge of quality and testing standards for electronic components.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently and take complete ownership of procurement responsibilities.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
